27 Things, 27 Years

Another year has happened in my life, I have now entered my 28th year of life which means I am 27. That concept is a weird one to think about, yet that is how it is.

I feel lucky to have experienced another year on this planet and I have definitely learned more valuable information. I am not reading back my posts from previous years, so I am sorry if I repeat any lessons (I guess if I do they are just very important), but here I go.

1. Things can come to you when the time isn’t right, and come back to you when the time is right.

2. If you put your head down and work hard, the things you want will come to you.

3. Just because you want some form of change doesn’t mean it is an easy experience to go through.

4.The more you are willing to let something be, the better it will be.

5. Life has phases. Whatever phase you are currently in will shift at some point.

6. Allowing yourself to be flexible can be beneficial for your mental health.

7. The friends you keep as you get older mean more.

8. No one has everything figured out, even if they seem like they do.

9. Confidence as perceived by others has to do with how you act.

10. Confidence in something you do has to do with knowledge and experience.

11. Opening up about the struggles in your life doesn’t inherently mean people are going to want to take that knowledge and use it against you.

12. Learned reactions to situations can be unlearned.

13. Trust your gut.

14. If you want to try something you should. You may not like whatever it is or you may love it, but you will never know unless you try.

15. Taking the first step is scary.

16. Being completely honest with yourself is how you will learn to be your happiest self.

17. Sometimes you know something to be true even if the people around you don’t believe you.

18. Sometimes it is okay to skip some sleep in order to experience something you want to experience.

19. It is okay to want to skip out on something to take time for yourself.

20. Expressing yourself how you want to is so fun!

21. (yes this one I know I have said) If you want a tattoo, get a tattoo. I am about to get numbers seven and eight, yay!

22. The more you hype yourself up to yourself the easier it is to see all the positives you bring to this world.

23. Knowing your worth will cause some people to question why you are so “conceited” but I promise you the right people will be so happy that you see what they see.

24. When something is right you do not question if it is right.

25. Working on yourself will always be a project.

26. The more you honor what you want out of life the more life gives to you.

27. Making time for the people in your corner is important.

I hope you enjoyed reading what I have learned in my 27 years. Let me know if you relate to any of these/what number is your favorite!

Until next time,

-H
