Recently I have had a few different people approach me and talk to me about different blogs I have posted. This is a cool and maybe somewhat terrifying experience for me. It makes it real that people see what I am working on, it makes what I write matter.
It is true, that what you have to say and what you do is important. I am not saying I forget that fact, but sometimes it is nice to have a reminder. If you ever forget that you are important I promise you there are so many people out there that care so deeply about your day to day life, even if they don’t talk to you about it.
Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily activities and the hustle and bustle of it all that we forget. We forget that we are not just on the speck of rock zooming through outer space to live on a hamster wheel of work, we are here to live and make and impact on the people we come in contact with.
I have always liked to write and share my thoughts with people, not in the way I do now, but it has always been there. I remember being about eight years of age and being so incredibly proud because I made a book about a fish family, it honestly resembles the song baby shark, and I figured out how to make it a pop-up book.
If I am not mistaken, it still sits on a shelf of a filing cabinet in my father’s office. I wrote many books and attempted to draw pictures for them. I felt that I always needed to be telling stories, whether that be writing on paper, taking pictures, drawing, dancing, singing, or recording myself.
I always felt the need to document anything and everything. I wanted to remember it all. Ironically I do not know where most of the things I wrote went, I am not sure where the pictures are, and the recordings could’ve been deleted for all I know. I don’t really remember what I wanted to remember except in fractured bits and pieces.
I guess I have just always enjoyed putting a creative spin on the thoughts going on in my head. That is why I have started a creative writing class. I do not know what will come from the class, but so far I have enjoyed what I have been learning.
I enjoy diving into different characters throughout an array of scenarios. I like to test my abilities of telling extremely fictional stories and those that are just slightly off from my truth.
I have plans for what I would like to do in the future with my story telling, but I am not quite ready to share that knowledge with just anyone yet.
Anyway, I would like to say thanks for reading and I hope to bring another post to you soon!
Please remember that you and your thoughts matter, even if you aren’t reminded of this on the daily.
Until next time,
-H

Thank you 🙂
